In Memory of
Dr. Gordon C. Milne

by Velma M. Carlson

Dearest Doctor you have gone and we miss you so.
If we could call you back again, would we say yes or no?
We could not see you suffer
Because now you are at rest.
‘Twas God who called you home, dear Doc.
And He who knows what’s best.
We’ll meet again on that bright shore
When our life on earth is done.
And there we’ll meet to part no more
When Jesus whispers “Come”.

A simile is as easy as pie, but a metaphor is a piece of cake!
