The Other Side of Nan
by Nancy Ness

I've had enough cerebral stuff
To last me for a year.
Who cares of meter
Or of rhyme?
It's transformation time!
Just let it be
and it will flow
Quite haphazardly.

So, in the drawer
My "fuzzies" go
With Webster and Roget -
Now, Mozart, you
Get in there too;
Just shove my texts awry
I hope now, that is all of it
And all those big words fit.
Then lock it shut and throw that key away.

For now this eve I leave my lair,
And be the other me.
Time now to find a slinky dress,
A pretty slip -
Let down my golden hair;
To don my lash and whet my lip,
And to you all I must confess -
My red nails match my underwear.
With lacy thighs and three-inch heels,
Methinks tonight, I'm SexiNess.

From Washington to Tampa Bay
I'll see you all another day,
For I must now go out and play.
Bring on the Band
This town of mine won't be the same ~
"That Old Time Rock 'n' Roll"
Is calling out my name.
"That kinda rhythm soothes my soul"

You'll hear my call
Throughout the land ~
Calypso, with the men
Then off with them,
My coy smiles say
They must be on their way

But, if indeed, some fun you need
Just beckon me and say -- "Yo Nance -
Could I please have this Dance?"

WEEEEE - OOOH !!!!! - OUTA HERE :-))))))))))

A simile is as easy as pie, but a metaphor is a piece of cake!
