You are “very special” and I love you so

But I don’t need to tell you,
                As you already know.

You are always so kind and thoughtful of me
I always feel wanted. You are as “sweet” as can be.
I know I’m not young but I sure don’t feel old.
When I think of my years, I look young I am told.
Laugh if you want because I feel like a “chicken”.
The years they mean nothing – and my heart is still
               ticking.

A simile is as easy as pie, but a metaphor is a piece of cake!
