Life's Unrelenting Questions
by Nancy Ness

Life's unrelenting questions
That recur as time's imposed
Are really inconclusive.
There's no answer predisposed

There often aren't solutions
To our quests as they are posed;
They seem instead elusive
Rather cryptic'ly reposed

We dwell amidst confusions
Often errors we've supposed
We're frequently delusive
With assumptions we've composed.

Our life-long resolutions
Never just as we've proposed -
One thing that seems conclusive
Is they're naught to be exposed...

A simile is as easy as pie, but a metaphor is a piece of cake!
